Can I use the Inogen Rove 6 OxygenConcentrator on the plane?
The Manufacturer certifies conformance with FAA requirements for in flight use. Some airlines may allow you to power your concentrator using onboard electrical power.
Contact the airline at least 48 hours in advance to confirm and inquire about their specific requirements. If onboard power is unavailable, bring enough batteries to last at least 150% of your flight duration.
How long does it take to fully charge the Inogen Rove 6?
The charging time is up to 3 hours if using the standard battery and up to 4 hours if using the extended battery.
Can I use the Inogen Rove 6 with my CPAP or BiPAP machine?
No, the Rove 6 is not designed to be used in conjunction with any devices including CPAPs, BiPAPs, nebulizers and humidifiers.
Can I use the Rove 6 Portable Oxygen Concentrator while sleeping?
Yes, Inogen portable oxygen concentrators are designed to be used 24/7, including when sleeping. Inogen’s Intelligent Dose Delivery Technology increases the amount of oxygen in each pulse as breathing rate slows during sleep.
What length nasal cannula can I use with my Rove 6 Portable Oxygen Concentrator?
The Rove 6 is designed to be used with nasal cannulas up to 25 ft. in length. Swivel connectors are not recommended as they can limit the amount of oxygen flow.
Is the Inogen Rove 6 battery powered only?
The Inogen Rove 6 runs off battery power, AC and DC power. An AC power supply and DC adapter are included with the machine.
What is the expected service life of the Inogen Rove 6?
The Rove 6 comes with an 8-year expected service life. Batteries are designed to last 500 charge/discharge cycles.
How do I clean and maintain my Rove 6 Portable Oxygen Concentrator?
- Case: Wipe the exterior of the Inogen Rove 6 using a clean cloth dampened with mild soap and water.
- Particle filters: Clean the particle filters with mild soap and water every week. Rinse thoroughly and dry fully before use.
- Sieve beds or columns: Your Rove 6 will alert you 30 days before the sieve columns need to be replaced.
- Batteries: Store the batteries with 40 to 50% charge in a cool, dry area when not in use. If you have multiple batteries, rotate their use regularly. Fully charge and discharge batteries at least once every 90 days.
