Mayim Bialik Acting Career
Mayim began her profession as a child actress in the late 1980s. Her first acting role was in the 1988 horror film Pumpkinhead, and guest appearances on The Facts of Life (final-season episode only) and Beauty and the Beast. She had an eight-episode recurring role as Frieda, Webster’s classmate, on the TV sitcom Webster in 1988–89.
Mayim played Lisa Woodman in three episodes of MacGyver. She portrayed Bette Midler’s character as a little girl in Beaches (1988). She also appeared in the music video for Michael Jackson’s song “Liberian Girl”. In 1990, Mayim was cast in two television pilots, Fox’s Molloy and NBC’s Blossom.
